As part of its Strategic Plan, Coast Mountains School District has been working with the BC Children's Hospital to create a K-12 Mental Health & Wellness Plan. Following a review of current programming opportunities and recent student evidence, including school based data and student responses from multiple perspectives surveys including the Adolescent Health Survey, Youth Development Instrument and Middle Years Development Instrument, the lead team is looking for broad input to support the narrowing of priorities for the new K-12 plan.
A brief survey has been developed and is now available online at https://forms.office.com/r/t4v29QyxEp. The survey, which is available to all community members and partners, parents and caregivers, employees and students themselves, will be accessible until Sunday March 10. Input received from the survey will be used to craft the remainder of the K-12 Mental Health & Wellness Plan, expected to be finalized by June 2024.
