In memory of the late Right Honourable Martin Brian Mulroney, who passed away on February 29, 2024, the flags at CMSD schools and office buildings will be flown at half-mast until sunset on the day of Right Honourable Mulroney’s funeral service.
This is pursuant to the British Columbia Policy for Half-masting (Section 12) and CMSD82 Policy 4045 – Flags & Assemblies, Canada & British Columbia.
School districts were encouraged by the Ministry of Education and Child Care to have all schools lower their flags to mark this occasion.
