Other energy saving ideas by students

Turn the Switch Off is the main thread from survey of students from Coast Mountains School District:

  • We could save energy by turning off your light when you leave your room
  • Don't leave the lights on and other things
  • Turn off the lights when you are the last one in the room.
  • Let your mind run on, not the light.
  • Remember to turn things off when you are not using them.
  • Turn off the lights when you aren't using them.
  • Use fluorescent bulbs instead of regular ones because they save energy and last longer
  • Turn off your CD player when you aren't using it.
  • Our environment will be a cleaner place if we know how it works.

What is the School District doing to save energy?

Using special software to monitor all district energy usage and costs. The software identifies areas where costs appear to be increasing and find out why.
